Nebula is the seventh work in the Constellation series. Created on a ground of dark grey gesso, the painting involved numerous overlapping layers of translucent, highly diluted paint. Paint and mineral spirits were poured onto the horizontal canvas, and then mixed and manipulated by moving the canvas itself, rather than with a brush.
The painting used only red and blue pigments.
Nebula was featured in the April 2015 exhibition Trumbull Senior Show.
